practice and research" were on Wednesday 9 November, presented in the
horticulture center Straelen technical and organizational innovations
in energy use, but also basic food for thought for the entrepreneurial
activity delivered. With more than 60 participants, the conference was
very well received energy efficiency.
Professor Dr. Friedrich Kerka by the Institute for Applied Innovation
Research at the Ruhr University in Bochum, offered an introduction to
innovation management, where he campaigned as a fundamental objective
for the waste-heat producing. He warned of a real innovation hectic,
as the company's success would result from it both to drive
innovation, but to also get proven. In particular, the continual
improvement leads to success, the groundbreaking innovations were the
exception. The feedback from the audience on its own patents and some
significant investments in research and development showed that the
horticulture industry has to innovate.
Otto Domke from horticulture center in Straelen provided information
on additional energy savings through the use of newly developed
double-daily energy and energy umbrellas umbrellas. Can be funded to
the form in which their use, Pietzsch Karin explained by the Federal
Agency for Agriculture and Food, which campaigned for the federal
program for energy efficiency. So far this funding program of
horticultural plants in North Rhine-Westphalia was hardly used, which
is also due in part to the laborious and impractical subsidies.
Technical innovations in the future initiative, low-energy greenhouse
ZINEG presented Professor Dr. Hans-Juergen Tantau of the Leibniz
University of Hanover. Starting points for energy savings include the
combination of energy shields, the selection of appropriate roofing
materials, the development of appropriate integrated control
strategies and the use of solar energy. Estimates of the scientists
found that can be reduced with the combination of these different
measures of energy use in greenhouse production by up to 90%.
The benefits of networking, illustrated in the so-called energy
efficiency networks Hans Hartung of the WATT Germany GmbH, the
exchange in a network will allow the individual entrepreneurs to
benefit from the knowledge of all participants and to increase the
success in implementing energy saving measures.
By visiting the operation strawberry cultures Janssen Kalkar the
conference participants were able to conclusively not only the use of
the daily energy shield to see a practical application, but a meet in
many progressive and innovative company that is run with great
enthusiasm and great commitment from the couple Hiltrud and Erich
Janssen .
The event was part of the project "Efficient Energy Use in
Horticulture" by the Central Association of Horticulture Association
(BMA) together with the State Horticultural Association Rheinland eV,
organized the National Association of Horticultural Westphalia-Lippe
and the horticulture center Straelen / Cologne Auweiler the Chamber of
Agriculture of North Rhine-Westphalia. The funding of the project is
funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature
Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) under the auspices of the
Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV)
with support from the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE).
